State report card
Tennessee gives every public school an A-F letter grade. The Department of Education says the grades are meant “to provide a snapshot of how each school performed during the previous academic year,” according to its school letter grades page. The grade combines four indicators, each scored from 1 to 5: student achievement, academic growth, growth of the highest-need students and, for high schools only, college and career readiness.

Attendance zone and feeder schools
Check any address with the WCS zoned school finder (abbreviate the street type, leave the ZIP code blank) or on the district’s school zone maps. You must live in Williamson County to attend WCS. Out-of-zone requests open Feb. 4 and close April 15, and out-of-zone students do not get bus service.
Woodland Middle feeds Ravenwood, and so does part of the Sunset Middle zone, according to the WCS zone maps, as drawn in the 2023 board-approved boundaries published in the City of Franklin’s planning GIS. The Crockett and Kenrose elementary zones and most of the Clovercroft Elementary zone, in Franklin, feed Woodland Middle. Sunset Middle, which takes the Jordan and Sunset elementary zones, splits between Ravenwood and Nolensville High; Sunset Middle says its students “will eventually attend either Nolensville High School or Ravenwood High School.” Inside Brentwood, most of the Jordan Elementary area along Split Log Road is zoned for Ravenwood, and the eastern edge of the city for Nolensville. Zones follow streets, not city limits, so confirm any address with the zoned school finder.
