It opened in August 2018, according to the school’s About Us page, and is named for George Jordan, who was born enslaved in Williamson County in 1847, enlisted in the 38th Infantry Regiment in 1866 and earned the Medal of Honor in the Indian Wars. State report card

Tennessee gives every public school an A-F letter grade. The Department of Education says the grades are meant “to provide a snapshot of how each school performed during the previous academic year,” according to its school letter grades page. The grade combines four indicators, each scored from 1 to 5: student achievement, academic growth, growth of the highest-need students and, for high schools only, college and career readiness.

Jordan Elementary earned an A for 2024-25, the latest grades published, with an overall score of 4.8 out of 5 in the state’s letter grade file.

Indicator Score (1 to 5)
Achievement 5
Growth 5
Growth of highest-need students 3
Overall success rate, all students, 2024-25 tests 81.3%

Spring 2026 TCAP tests (share of students who met or exceeded expectations, from the state’s 2026 school assessment file):

Subject Met or exceeded Valid tests
English language arts, grades 3-5 77.9% 317
Math, grades 3-5 86.1% 317
Science 81.1% 317

Attendance zone and feeder schools

Check any address with the WCS zoned school finder (abbreviate the street type, leave the ZIP code blank) or on the district’s school zone maps. You must live in Williamson County to attend WCS. Out-of-zone requests open Feb. 4 and close April 15, and out-of-zone students do not get bus service.

Jordan Elementary feeds Sunset Middle, according to the WCS zone maps, as drawn in the 2023 board-approved boundaries published in the City of Franklin’s planning GIS. From Sunset Middle, students go on to Ravenwood High or Nolensville High depending on their address. Comparing the maps with the Census Bureau’s city boundary, nearly all of the Jordan zone inside Brentwood is zoned for Ravenwood, and the eastern part of the zone, most of it outside the city, for Nolensville High. Cromwell is one Split Log Road subdivision in the Nolensville High zone. Zones follow streets, not city limits, so confirm any address with the zoned school finder.
