Black Friday is Nov. 27, 2026, and Small Business Saturday is Nov. 28. Brentwood’s own shopping is at Hill Center Brentwood; the big mall, CoolSprings Galleria, is just over the line in Franklin.

Hill Center Brentwood

Hill Center is the walkable shopping center at Franklin Road and Maryland Way. Parking is free in surface lots and a garage. It had not posted Black Friday hours when we checked; each store sets its own. Among its shops:

Small Business Saturday, Nov. 28

Small Business Saturday, started by American Express, falls the day after Black Friday. Brentwood businesses holding Small Business Saturday events can send them to us and we will list them here.

Holiday markets and events

  • Dickens of a Christmas, Dec. 12-13 on Main Street in downtown Franklin, about seven miles south, has a Victorian Village block of holiday dancers, characters and entertainers. Details in our holiday lights and Christmas events guide.
  • Library Toy Swap, noon Friday, Nov. 13, at the John P. Holt Brentwood Library: bring toys your family no longer uses and swap them, per the library’s event page.

Parking and traffic

CoolSprings Galleria’s Black Friday opening is early, at 7 a.m. Hill Center’s parking garage has elevator access, and during weekday office hours some garage floors are set aside for office tenants. Neither the city nor the shopping centers had posted special traffic plans for the weekend when we checked; we will add any the police department announces.

Library and city closings that weekend

The John P. Holt Brentwood Library is closed Thursday, Nov. 26, and Friday, Nov. 27, according to its calendar. On Thanksgiving Day, city parks are open 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
