New Year's Eve 2026 near Brentwood: Nashville's free party and fireworks, the fireworks rules in city parks, and what's open Dec. 31 and Jan. 1.
Last checked Oct. 18, 2026. This page is updated each year. Closings come from the John P. Holt Brentwood Library calendar, the City of Brentwood, Williamson County and each business’s own site. We list New Year’s Eve dinners and parties only when the venue announces them.
New Year’s Eve is Thursday, Dec. 31, 2026, and New Year’s Day falls on a Friday, so most families get a long weekend. Brentwood itself has no city New Year’s Eve event or fireworks show; the big countdown is in downtown Nashville.

The big countdown: Nashville
Nashville’s citywide New Year’s Eve party, Jack Daniel’s New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, rang in 2026 as a free night of live music at Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park, 600 James Robertson Parkway, about 12 miles north of Brentwood, according to the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp.’s New Year’s Eve page. The page still showed last year’s celebration when we checked; the 2026 lineup and times will be added here when they are posted.
Getting there: plan a ride home before you go, or pick a designated driver.
Fireworks rules in Brentwood
- City parks: the use of personal fireworks and sparklers is prohibited in every Brentwood park, under the city’s park rules.
- At home: the city’s rules for fireworks on private property are in the Brentwood Municipal Code. Check your HOA rules too.
- Noise: Brentwood’s noise ordinance is enforced in parks; for a complaint elsewhere, call the police non-emergency line.
Dinner and parties
No Brentwood restaurant had announced New Year’s Eve dinners or parties on its own site when we checked. We will add them as they post. Restaurants to check: Del Frisco’s Grille at Hill Center and Mere Bulles on Maryland Way, which posts special dinners on its events page. More ideas in our date night guide.
