What happened in 2026
For America’s 250th birthday, the city put on what it called an enhanced Red, White and Boom on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 5 to 10 p.m.:
- 5 to 7 p.m.: a fife and drum performance in Revolutionary War dress in Crockett Park’s Brentvale Pavilion, with face painters and patriotic performers moving through the park.
- 7 p.m.: a Revolutionary War color guard presented the colors and fired muskets.
- 7:05 to 9 p.m.: The Downtown Band.
- After the band: a longer fireworks show than in past years, with larger shells, the city said.
Nine veterans of the American Revolution are buried in Brentwood, the city noted in its announcement; see our history and landmarks guide.
Fireworks at home: not allowed
Brentwood bans the sale, storage, distribution, possession and discharge of fireworks inside city limits, according to Brentwood Fire and Rescue’s FAQ. The only exception is a show by a professionally qualified and insured pyrotechnics operator, and that needs a city fireworks permit. Call the Fire Department at 615-371-0170 about the requirements.
Report illegal fireworks to police non-emergency at 615-371-0160, or 911 if there is a fire or injury.
Getting there
Crockett Park’s address is 1500 Volunteer Parkway. The city has not published a 2027 parking or shuttle plan; check back in June. For walking and biking routes into the park, see our parks and trails guide and getting around Brentwood.
Other summer concerts
The free Summer Concert Series runs in the same amphitheater from late May or June through July 4. BrentFest, with a beer garden and a children’s fun zone, is the biggest of the early-summer nights. Bands can apply for 2027 through Nov. 10, 2026, on the city’s band application page.
