Williamson County Schools’ spring break is Monday, March 15, to Friday, March 19, 2027, with the whole system closed, the district’s 2026-27 calendar (PDF) says. A second day off follows a week later: Friday, March 26, the spring holiday, which is also Good Friday. Easter is Sunday, March 28.

Private and church schools set their own calendars; check yours.

Snow days: WCS builds 10 inclement weather days into the calendar that do not have to be made up. If more than 10 days are missed, the make-up options include Mid-Winter Break, a professional development day, the spring holiday and then spring break days, Monday first, then Tuesday, then Wednesday, the district says.

At the library

The library posts spring break programs on its calendar a few weeks ahead. The 2027 lineup is not out yet. In spring break week 2026 (March 16-21) it ran, among others:

  • Maker Monday drop-in crafts (that week, Momigami, a Japanese paper-crinkling technique)
  • Teen Art Club (M&M dot art) and Teen Game Night
  • Bingo and Bagels on Saturday morning
  • An adult sourdough basics cooking class

Outside

  • Parks and trails: Smith Park’s hiking and mountain bike trails, the River Park bikeway and the Deerwood Arboretum are open; see walking and biking trails.
  • Playgrounds: Crockett Park’s community playground and Granny White Park’s inclusive playground; details in kids’ activities.
  • Shelters: reservable from February through October through the city’s reservation site.
  • Boiling Spring Academy tours do not start until summer; the city lists open houses June through October.

Indoors

  • Indoor pool, Indoor Sports Complex, 920 Heritage Way: open year-round for lap swimming, water aerobics and lessons. The outdoor Brentwood Splash Park does not reopen until May.
  • Nashville Zoo, 3777 Nolensville Pike, about seven miles north, is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, the zoo says.
