What BrentFest is
The city launched BrentFest in 2019 to celebrate Brentwood’s 50th anniversary, it said in a 2023 announcement carried by the Williamson County Chamber. The festival “proved so popular that city officials soon decided to make it an annual event.” The COVID-19 pandemic delayed that plan. The 2023 festival was the third, and the 2026 festival the sixth, each as part of the Summer Concert Series.
It is a longer night than the series’ Sunday concerts. In 2026 the Sunday shows ran 6 to 8 p.m. and BrentFest ran 6 to 9 p.m., the city said.
What happened in 2026
The sixth BrentFest, on June 28, 2026, from 6 to 9 p.m., celebrated the “Pop and Rock Era” as part of the city’s America 250 theme for the season, according to the city’s announcement. It had:
- a beer garden
- a fun zone for children
- the Cruizin Keys Dueling Pianos
- the 1980s cover band Rubiks Groove
In 2023 the festival ran 5 to 8 p.m. with the same two acts, and nine food trucks served the crowd, from loaded burgers to shaved ice, the city’s announcement said. It asked families to bring cash in small bills to speed up food truck lines.
The 2027 summer schedule
BrentFest sits in the middle of the city’s 2027 Summer Concert Series:
| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| Sunday, June 6 | Concert 1 |
| Sunday, June 13 | Concert 2 |
| Saturday, June 26 | BrentFest |
| Sunday, July 4 | Red, White and Boom |
Series concerts start at 6 p.m. unless the city notes otherwise, and food trucks open an hour before the music, the city says. “More information on the concerts will come at a later date.” In 2026 the lineup was announced on April 1.
